1 Whole chicken broken down the spine

For the marinade

2 tsp Paprika

1 tsp seasoned salt

1 tsp cumin

1 1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

4 tbls vegetable oil 


1. Coat the chicken and marinade the chicken for up to 4 hours 

2. Prepare your grill for indirect cooking method. Heat up one side of the grill until it reaches 350f/180c.

3. Place the check en on the side of the grill the fire is off and let  cook for 1 hour. 

4. After an hour raise the grill flames to high and flip the chicken over for 2-3 minutes to crisp up the skin. 

5. Flip back over and place the chicken back onto the closed flame area. 

6. Coat the chicken with your favorite BBQ sauce and glaze the chicken and grill for 10 more minutes. 

7. Remove your chicken from the heat and let rest for 10 minutes before serving!
